Reality

The person who keeps ranting about “the fake news media” needs to quit it. The news may sometimes be biased, but it is not fake.

Good so far

Love, love my new Team Waste recycle bin. It holds so much more than the former bin, and it is easier to roll to the curb for this senior citizen. Also appreciate that trucks are much quieter when picking up. I didn’t even hear them on their first day. All good so far.

Move on!

I wish the media and Facebook post would get off the NFL issue. I’m tired of the subject. Let the fans take it from here via the ticket sales. Enough is enough!

Life lessons

The Japanese live longer and are more productive than any other people in the world. Part of this is from three major things. They eat healthy, are active, and have a social network. We should learn from this.

Suggestion

It should be required by law that businesses who desire to invoke their now-legal right to discriminate against chosen patrons under HB 1523, post door signs attesting to this intention so that potential patrons can also make choices.

Fix this

The traffic light at the intersection of White Avenue has needed readjustment for six months now. The Biloxi police must pass through this busy intersection at least 50 times a day. Why can’t they log such malfunctions and report them at the end of their shifts? Seems like a reasonable request for the Protect and Serve Department.

My success

I zipped through school without money (high school that is, didn’t get to go to college). Walked to school with holes in my shoes wearing hand-me-down patched and sewed-up clothes. Did well in school, and zipped through life by working my tail off for 49 years. Scrimped and saved money so I could now zip through retirement.

Proud of youth

My grandson, an NFL football fanatic, called to say he no longer was going to NFL games or watching on TV because of their disrespect to our flag and anthem. I then knew his patriotic deep feelings and that he was an adult. I am following his example and will no longer watch NFL football games. Thank you, President Trump, for instilling in our youth patriotic respect for our great country. I doubt if this will be printed in Sound Off but I had to get it out how proud I am of our youth who feel this way.
