Don’t force them
NFL should not force players to stand on my behalf or for anyone else. I will not watch another game.
We’ll be back
Thank you to the organizers of Cruisin’ The Coast in Diamondhead and Bay St. Louis. They were amazing people greeting us and so helpful. No traffic problems. We will be back to your cities. Happy, happy, happy.
Gulfport and 28th Street construction workers please give us back our westbound left-turn arrow onto 30th Avenue southbound. I don’t know why y’all took this away, but we now have to regularly sit through two cycles of the traffic signal, sometimes three or four during rush hour. Ridiculous!
We live in Diamondhead and after we finished taking care of our property Saturday afternoon, we walked out front and our Sunday Sun Herald had already been double-bagged and delivered. We certainly did not expect that, but sincerely hope that all carriers made it home that evening and that all was well with their property. Thank you!
Wake up! Pray
Wild fire, hurricanes, earthquakes, shootings, bombings, protesting, maybe a war? This is one nation. We are in it together. Lets make America better. Stop foolishness and go back to work. At home, enjoy your families. We may not be here soon. Open your eyes. None of us have expected many lives to be taken so quick. Focus on peace, pray.
For NFL players, the United States of America has over 11 million illegal immigrants that would proudly stand and pledge allegiance to the flag of the USA just to become U.S. citizens. Ninety-nine percent of them would make very good citizens.
Bad role models
For the NFL players, you’re role models and superheroes to many of our college and high school young, upcoming athletes in football, basketball, baseball, etc. Now you are teaching them to kneel and disrespect the USA’s flag.
Having not seen a hurricane since the early 1960s, Ethel, my wife, and I had no real experience with them. We moved back to the Coast in 2012 and had MEMA do our house with shutters, etc. Very glad Nate was a little one. It was a great dress rehearsal for the big one sure to come one day.
I use to think the term “zombie” was a made up word. But, lately I think they are real. I get behind them and alongside them all the time while driving our streets and highways. The zombies I see, are the ones staring at their “Star Trek” communicator device, a.k.a. cellphone, while driving and not paying any attention to traffic around them.
