Thinking about those RVs

In response to the person who stated there were 700 RVs for Cruisin’ The Coast and inquired about Scrapin’ the Coast and Spring Break people bringing campers and camping anywhere they wanted for a week: The majority of the Cruisin’ The Coast people rented their spaces or they were family owned. The majority are older retired folk and keep it clean. How many people with Scrapin’ the Coast or how many spring breakers actually own an RV? Would they pay to rent a space? Would they keep it clean? Think about it.

Enough of the sirens

The storm siren behind the Oaklawn Road Fire House in Biloxi needs to be mounted on top of the water tower and not 100 feet from my house. The volume and decibels are absolutely ear-splitting. It’s overkill and not well thought out.

A better idea

Don’t cut up your old Waste Pro cans. Donate to the people of Waveland, who don’t have such luxuries.

We’ve lost our sense of humor

I’m not an admirer of Cam Newton, but I do support President Donald Trump. Both can say things sensitive people take exception to, but this, in my opinion, simply confirms that we have lost our sense of humor and take every statement or off-handed comment in a public forum seriously. Cam apologized, of course, but President Trump did not. Cam had to preserve his financial status and adhere to Panther (Saints supporter, love this) demands; Trump did not. Don Rickles simply would not be able to make people laugh in today’s world.

Pristine for a reason

To “Please Explain” who wanted to know why the interchanges at Diamondhead and Interstate 10 are always pristine: It is because our wonderful POA employees go out there and pick up trash and cut the grass. Maybe other cities should try doing that.

With permission, park it

If the property owners on U.S. 90 give you permission to park your RV on their private property, during any event, then please do so.

What will it take?

Fifty-nine people were killed and many, many were injured in that shooting spree by a man who should not have been allowed to have that weapon. What will it take to outlaw these types of weapons? Republicans in Congress all seem to be in bed with the gun lobby.

Contact City Hall directly

If you want the city of Biloxi to fix something, why are you writing to the Sun Herald? Why not write directly to City Hall? Do you think that City Hall monitors Sound Off?
