No NFL for me

The NFL still does not get it! This is not about solidarity, unity or whatever else you want it call it; it is about respect for the flag, national anthem and our military. Until you apologize, I am not watching, wearing team colors or visiting a sports bar on Sunday.

Concussions will kill football

To the NFL and football in general: Concussions will kill off the NFL before any boycott will. Parents will finally wise up to the threat of sustained brain damage in children playing tackle football.

Let’s get serious

Enough already about NFL players and your outrage. Focus your anger on these privileged millionaire cabinet members that have spent over a million taxpayer dollars on private luxury jets. Or, the depth and reach of Russian tentacles in the election and the present administration. You know, the really serious stuff that truly threatens our republic.

Cut the weeds!

Driving down Mississippi 67 and the weeds are waist high! Why, oh why, can’t they cut those weeds before Cruisin’ The Coast? Every year it’s a huge eyesore.

No worries

If people had the money, they could “zip” through school without any worries.

O.J.’s job

Maybe with O.J. Simpson getting out of jail in a few days he can become the spokesperson for the National Football League. Well, he will need a job.

Wondering about the flag

I wonder how many people will not show up for Cruisin’ The Coast and Gulfport Music Festival due to the Mississippi state flag?

College games better

I much prefer college football over the pros anyway, so that’s what I will watch. Hope this mess doesn’t bleed over to college ball. Maybe they have a little more control over their players’ behavior.

Play elsewhere

Nice try, NFL, but we ain’t buying the “silent protest” of arms intertwined by the players. It is still disrespectful to our country, flag and national anthem. No halfway measure is going to cut it. Pay proper respect or go play in Somalia! ’Nuff said.

On your way out ...

NFL players. If you are ever fortunate enough to play on a military installation, please don’t pull your childish and disrespectful antics. You will probably get more than you expect. And, here’s a one-time offer for those who disrespected our great country and the men and women who served: a one-way ticket from America to the country of your choice. Just destroy your passport when you leave and good riddance.
