More, please

We need more of a variety of volunteer programs so people can get the recognition they

deserve.

Job opportunities

There should be work that people could just walk up to and do and get paid. No questions asked. It would help a lot.

Red tape

Society has too many hoops to jump through.

Job security

Nursing seems to be the only profession with any job security.

Culture

Support bacteria. They’re the only culture some people really have.

Experience counts

Jared Kushner is too young, inexperienced and ill-prepared to deal with very sensitive foreign relations. We need a seasoned diplomat to deal with the Israeli-Palestine, Middle East and other sensitive areas.

Boring!

I wonder if other people are as tired as I am of seeing the TV ads showing the same two guys sitting in a car and eating fast foods from a drive-in. Seems like it has been on forever, and all the guys do is change shirts. So very boring.

Unexplainable

What kind of person complains about a deputy being airlifted to the hospital? Yes, the bullet was stopped by his vest, but a great deal of internal damage can still result from that kind of wound. Why would anyone second guess the decisions of trained medical personnel in that situation and complain about him being airlifted to a certified trauma center? It boggles the mind.

Always on!

A recent Sound Off says it’s a fact that a police body camera would have been switched off while an officer sits in his vehicle. If that’s the case, this would mean officers switch their cameras on/off as they feel the situation requires. I have a camera in my car as a part of my GPS system — it’s always on when my car is in use. The camera is continuously recording new material over the oldest so that there is always possible accident information available. It seems reasonable to me that police body cameras would work in the same way — always on.

Bad day

Why doesn’t the county cut the grass on Tuesday instead of Wednesday on Success Road (Saucier), which is trash and recycling day? Now there will be huge patches of grass next to every home on our road harboring mosquitoes where our cans and bins are. It happens every time they mow. It is always on a Wednesday. Dumb!
