SCENES FROM THE BEACH | by George Thatcher / MAY 8, 2016
We have enjoyed three consecutive, spectacular sunrises, each different in its own way, but all elicit the abundant joy found in dawning days. First noted are the clouds in the eastern sky, emblazoned in red before the sun itself appears. Then the shorebirds, in mating plumage, awake to pleasant, spring days. Overlooking the beach road, there are avenues of stately oak trees, all lifting their limbs to praise the resplendent mornings. All creation joins in gladsome hymns of renewed life.
