Louisiana politics have come to Biloxi

As a Louisiana transplant to Biloxi, I got to see Mississippi politics firsthand during Biloxi’s last mayoral election, and I was very impressed, but I’m now seeing some disturbing things about Mayor Gilich’s desire to appoint Paul Tisdale as the city’s chief administrative officer.

Knowing Paul on a personal basis and knowing his past experience and love for our wonderful city, why would anyone want to bring in an outsider who has no knowledge of our history or the needs of the people in Biloxi?

Two of the three opposing votes on the City Council are coming from people who also ran in the last mayoral election and lost, so a questions arises: Are we seeing their political agendas come to light?

I’m only seeing old-time Louisiana politics come to Biloxi.
