The Sun Herald's April 3 editorial said, "There is a serious disconnect between a state Legislature dominated by the central and northern reaches of the state and the tourism-dependent Mississippi Coast."
I have written several opinion pieces expressing that same sentiment.
We have world-class industries in the Coast's three counties, but every time there is a new plant, whether automotive or something else, it is sold on building in North Mississippi. Yes, we are tourism oriented, but we have survived by expanding our thriving business base.
Before those of you who live here now but may be from other areas of the state complain about my letter or the Sun Herald's editorial, think about the reasons you left and moved here.
