LENNY EMMANUEL: Should we exercise goodwill or caution?

Every nation in every age has had its own neuroses.

America is now caught between the freedom of goodwill to welcome Syrian immigrants and the fear of ruthless terrorists sneaking in as refugees. Americans are caught between being goodwill ambassadors or being victims of insane terrorists. We are experiencing despair and anger that is spiraling down into the abyss of apathy, from which we must take a stand toward the conditions that will enable us to survive.

People I know have been saying, "Trump, Carson and Christie won't be presidential candidates because they are not in the loop of the Electoral College and the bigwigs with money and power." Some of my friends prefer Rubio or Cruz, especially Cruz because his father, an immigrant, reared his son on having a thorough knowledge of our U.S. Constitution. If Trump and Carson do not run for president, I hope and pray neither of them will runs on an independent ticket. That would split the Republican Party and put Hillary or some other socialist left-winger in the White House.

If you know your Roman history, you will know our current history. But make no mistake about it, no foreign nation will destroy America. America will destroy itself from within, just as the Roman Empire did.

We Americans are experiencing cold weathers of the mind with so many not voting, not working and not paying taxes. Not caring results in apathy about moving further from our Constitution, moving closer to politicians who buy votes from those in desperate need, establishing giveaway programs and making citizens dependent.

And our continued presence in the Middle East is not about providing freedom but rather, my friends, about black gold.
