JOHN WETZEL: I support Gov. Bryant's decision on refugees

As a citizen of Mississippi, I am proud of Gov. Phil Bryant for looking out for the safety of his constituents.

Until Syrian refugees can be properly vetted, it is foolish to let them into the United States. Refugee camps should be set up in safe zones in the Middle East until the conflict in Syria is resolved.

America is not anti-immigrant; we are just not stupid when it comes to protecting our citizens. I would suggest that if you are hanging your head in shame about our country, maybe you should consider immigrating to another country.

Sign me proud to be an American!
