CLAY DANIELS: Job well done, Harrison County officials

It's not often that we praise our officials in government, but I would like to take the time to do just that.

I would like to commend Chuck Loftis, director of the Harrison County Sand Beach Authority, and Russell Weatherly, director of Harrison County Roads, for the outstanding job they and their staff performed after Tropical Storm Patricia hit the Gulf Coast in October.

As soon as the storm passed, I observed both Loftis and Weatherly assessing the damage left behind, and a plan was launched to begin the cleanup process.

Today, our beach looks clean and presentable as do our roads in and around Harrison County.

I want to thank both leaders for doing such a good job of keeping Harrison County clean and presentable for our families and visitors.
