VERNON STEELE: Gun control advocates are at it again

Here we go again! Democrats are using the same bogus argument for more gun control.

When asked why cities such as Chicago, Washington, New York and other large cities have some of the highest crime rates in the country, even though they have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, their stock answer is: "Criminals in these cities are getting guns from surrounding states that have looser gun control laws."

Question: If people in the surrounding states have greater access to guns due to looser gun laws, then why don't their cities also have the highest crime rates?

The argument on its face is self-defeating. By their own admission, Democrats are providing clear evidence that the availability of guns is not the problem and that more gun control is not the solution.
