Daylight conundrum

I can’t believe it, someone wrote in (Sound Off, Dec. 1) to ask that daylight saving time be extended until 8 p.m. Since there are only 10 hours of daylight at this time of year, that means daybreak would begin at 10 a.m. No wonder our schools are having such a tough time nowadays.
