The people have spoken on Mississippi flag

I have traveled to all 50 states, some numerous times. I have never looked to see what their flag looked like. The notion that people will not come to Mississippi because of a piece of cloth flying from a flag pole is ridiculous.

It concerns me that a few boisterous people, some not from our state, can pressure our state Legislature into changing our flag. There was a statewide referendum not too long ago and the majority of our citizens voted to keep our flag. It is time to tell the rabble-rousers to get over it. Their views and demands should not override the wishes of the majority.

Our legislators need to remember that their votes have consequences and realize that more people voted to keep the flag than who want to change it. I, for one, will not vote for any one of them who moves to change the flag.
