Us and them

Every single day there are comments about liberals, conservatives, red, blue, right wing and left wing. Wake up, it’s the same strategy as always: divide and conquer. I blame the politicians (both sides). Look in the mirror, The purple, no-winged person looking back at you is the problem. Did you vote? Do you know what they are doing? Do you hold them accountable? The RNC and DNC should both be labeled hate groups. Politicians should be loyal to their constituents not a party. Word for the day: Kleptocracy.

Gas prices

Gas prices are a worldwide problem and oil companies are making profits. Profits vary, they go up and down. Yes, gas prices are up worldwide, but Europe and others were always higher than ours. Europe depended heavily on Russian oil. I checked the percent of increase in Great Britain, it was only about half that of ours since the first of the year. Remember the Putin invasion was at fault. Ours starting increasing as soon as President Biden was elected. Can you believe those nasty gas companies are charging people in California almost twice what we pay?

Parking in the Bay

Old Town Bay St. Louis has a free city parking garage on Court Street, just one block from Main Street and one block from Beach Boulevard, that goes unused most of the time. Why pay for parking? No parking problem ... more a walking problem!

Ageism

Hey, Steven Palazzo: I’m 67, show up for work, haven’t had a vacation in 4 years and put in a full day in all types of weather. Can you honestly say the same? Knock it off on the ageism. Respect your elders.

Apples and Oranges

Every company decides what it will charge for any product. Oil companies decide what they charge for their product. President Biden does not, nor has any president told your company or any other what it may or may not charge for its product — no matter what you may think
