Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula has suspended all operations in Pascagoula and its surrounding off-site locations because of hazardous weather conditions.

The shipyard originally canceled first shift as employees were heading in, but at 9 a.m., released a statement saing all operations for second, third and fourth shifts were suspended Wednesday.

The release also said the company would make a decision regarding work schedules for Thursday, Jan. 18.

“As always, all drivers are encouraged to drive safely, slowly and carefully in areas where ice may exist, even when it cannot be seen,” Ingalls said to employees in the statement.
