According to the National Hurricane Center’s 5 am Wednesday advisory, Category 2 Hurricane Nigel is 590 miles east-northeast of Bermuda, with maximum sustained wind of 100 mph. It’s moving 16 mph to the north.

"Nigel has likely reached its peak intensity, with gradual weakening expected later today, followed by faster rate of weakening on Friday."
