Category 2 Hurricane Nigel: National Hurricane Center’s Wednesday, Sep 20 status report

According to the National Hurricane Center’s 5 am Wednesday advisory, Category 2 Hurricane Nigel is 590 miles east-northeast of Bermuda, with maximum sustained wind of 100 mph. It’s moving 16 mph to the north.
"A turn toward the northeast with an increase in forward speed is expected later today." forecasters wrote. "Nigel has likely reached its peak intensity, with gradual weakening expected later today, followed by faster rate of weakening on Friday." They also said "Nigel is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone by Friday."
YESTERDAY (Tuesday):
Yesterday, the Category 1 hurricane Nigel was upgraded to a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 100 mph.
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND:
SURF: Swells generated by Nigel will affect Bermuda during the next couple of days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
