Tropical Storm Franklin is expected to strengthen

On Thursday at 5 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Tropical Storm Franklin is 55 miles east-northeast of Grand Turk Island, with maximum sustained wind of 50 mph. It’s moving 13 mph to the north. Tropical Storm Franklin is forecast to strengthen.
YESTERDAY (Wednesday):
Yesterday, Franklin moved away from Dominican Republic and advanced into the Atlantic Ocean
CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY:
The government of the Bahamas has discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for the Turks and Caicos.
The government of the Dominican Republic has discontinued all Tropical Storm Warnings for the Dominican Republic.
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND:
RAINFALL: Franklin is forecast to produce the following rainfall totals through Thursday:
Hispaniola: Additional 1 to 3 inches.
Turks and Caicos: 1 to 3 inches, mainly across the eastern islands.
