As per the National Hurricane Center's 11 pm Thursday update, the tropical depression that has been named Cindy has developed into a tropical storm with winds of 40 miles per hour. Cindy originated as a tropical depression, but has since gained strength

Tropical Storm Cindy is 1110 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, with maximum sustained wind of 40 mph. It’s moving 14 mph to the west-northwest.
