Hancock County is under a tornado warning until 9:45 p.m. CST after a rotation was spotted near the Pearl River, the National Weather Service said.

The storm was eight miles south of Picayune at 8:37 p.m. and is moving southeast at 10 mph, the NWS said.

St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana is also included in the tornado warning.

The tornadic storm is expected to stay over rural areas of east central St. Tammany and west central Hancock County. The area includes Interstate 10 near mile marker three in Mississippi. If you live in these areas, take cover now.
