Here’s the list of South Mississippi schools closing early ahead of severe weather
Schools in South Mississippi are closing early Wednesday because of the threat of severe weather forecast for the afternoon and into the evening.
Dismissal times for those closing early are:
▪ Bay Waveland — 11:45 a.m. for elementary schools, 12:15 p.m. for Crossroads Learning Center, 12:30 p.m. for high school, 12:35 p.m. for middle school.
▪ George County — 1 p.m. from George County High School and Middle School, plus car rides. Elementary Schools at 1:15 p.m.
▪ Hancock County — noon for elementary school, 1 p.m. for high school and 1:10 p.m. for middle school
▪ Pearl River — 11:15 a.m. for elementary school, 11:38 a.m. for middle school and high school, 11:30 a.m. for Endeavor School
▪ University of Southern Mississippi — all USM operations and offices in Hattiesburg and on the Coast will close at 1 p.m.
▪ William Carey University Tradition/Biloxi and Hattiesburg campuses will close at noon
