According to the National Hurricane Center’s 11 pm Tuesday advisory, Tropical Storm Karl is 125 miles northeast of Veracruz Mexico and, 165 miles east-southeast of Tuxpan Mexico, with maximum sustained wind of 40 mph. It’s moving 6 mph to the north-northwest. Tropical Storm Karl is forecast to strengthen.

The government of Mexico has extended the Tropical Storm Watch southward to Roca Partida.

*Isthmus of Tehuantepec...3 to 6 inches, with local maximum up to 10 inches. *Southern Sierra Madre Oriental and adjacent coast...2 to 4 inches with local maximum up to 6 inches.

WIND: Tropical storm conditions are possible along the Mexican coastline in the watch area starting Thursday.

SURF: Swells generated by Karl are expected to effect the Mexican coastline for the next few days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
