List: MS Coast summer school, athletics closures and cancellations due to Cristobal
Here are school district cancellations and closures for Monday, June 8, due to Tropical Storm Cristobal.
Government
All government offices for Hancock County and the cities of Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead will close until Tuesday, except emergency and essential personnel.
Schools
Colleges
- Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College campuses and centers will be closed, and online classes will continue as scheduled.
Bay-Waveland School District
- Summer school, the summer feeding program and all athletics are canceled.
Harrison County School District
- All buildings and the Central Office will be closed.
- The grab-and-go summer feeding program is canceled Monday.
- The district plans to reopen on Tuesday.
Gulfport School District
- Summer feeding program canceled until Wednesday.
Biloxi Public Schools
- Summer meal pick-up canceled until Tuesday.
Ocean Springs School District
- School buildings and central offices will be closed Monday.
- Employees working during closure will be placed on administrative leave.
Hancock County School District
- No announcement has yet been made on their social media pages or website.
Pass Christian School District
- Summer school and all athletics canceled
Jackson County School district
- No announcement has yet been made on their social media pages or website.
Long Beach School District
- Summer feeding program at Quarles Elementary will be closed
Pascagoula-Gautier School District
- Summer feeding program is canceled Monday. Meals will resume on Wednesday.
Moss Point School District
- No announcement has yet been made on their social media pages or website.
