A South Mississippi woman has received a promotion in the Secretary of State's Office.
A news release from Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said Sherri Carr Bevis, his South Mississippi service coordinator, will be the assistant secretary of state for external marketing.
“Sherri is a tireless worker with extensive experience and personal skills and personality which will continue to expand the knowledge of our office and its duties to the public,” Hosemann said.
Bevis, a Mississippi State graduate who lives in Diamondhead, will be responsible for the marketing efforts while continuing to serve as a liaison for the agency in the Gulf Coast region. She also has worked in former Sen. Trent Lott's office in Washington, where she received a master's in higher education administration.
