Ditka likes Trump (and that isn't even his most bizarre idea of the day)

So, the capitalist Warren Buffett admires Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign and "Da Coach" Mike Ditka says Donald Trump has the "fire in the belly" to win even though a revelatory Ditka says Trump should think before he speaks. It couldn't get any weirder if Ricky Williams showed up in a wedding dress.

Actually, Ditka admiring Trump is no surprise. The surprise is Ditka hasn't gnawed off one of his feet.

Ditka also said he wished he had run against President Barack Obama for the U.S. Senate seat from Illinois because if he had, Obama wouldn't be in the White House today. I'm not much on caterwauling about the demise of the Republic, but Sen. Ditka might be an assault on democracy that not even America could withstand.

Who knows, though, the U.S. is a country that needs warning labels on selfie sticks, toothpicks and just about any other sharp object.

Buffett, on the other hand, is just a tad more sober than Ditka. He doesn't expect Sanders, the democratic socialist, to win, Buffett just likes the campaign he's running -- mainly because it focuses more on telling voters what he'd do and less on who's "stupid" or "an idiot."

And, for the record, Buffett supports Hillary Clinton, both with his cash and a pledge of his vote.
