Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann holds a huge lead over his Democratic challenger in the latest Mason-Dixon poll. Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves also has a commanding lead over either of two Democratic opponents but his leads are substantially smaller than Hosemann's
Hosemann leads Charles Graham 62 percent to 27 percent. He also has a 79 percent job approval rating.
Reeves leads Democrat Jelani Barr by 51 percent to 31 percent and recently minted Democrat Tim Johnson 54 percent to 33 percent. Libertarian Ron Williams is polling 2 perent to 3 percent and Rosa Williams of the Reform Party is at 1 percent.
Reeves' job approval rating is at 61 percent.
Mason-Dixon conducted the poll April 21 through April 23 and interviewed 625 registered voters in the state by telephone, using both cell phone and land line numbers. Of those contacted, 212 indentified themselves as Democrats, 298 as Republicans and 115 as independents.
