In response to liuetenant governor candidate Tate Reeves' press release about his A rating from the National Rifle Association, Billy Hewes' campaign has responded that he, too, has an A rating, and claims that 37-year-old Reeves only bought his first hunting license in February, after he qualified to run for lieutenant governor.
"It is unfortunate taht our opponent would take a Second Amendment stance for political show," said Hewes spokesman Keith Plunkett. "He only got a hunting license back in February after he qualified to run for lieutenant governor. When a guy doesn't sign up for a hunting license until he's running for office, it's obvious that all he's hunting for is votes."
No response yet from the Reeves camp -- will update.
