If Tim Johnson of Ridgeland can woo voters the way he wooed the women at the Biloxi Shrimp Festival Fais Do-Do, he'll be a shoe-in.
Johnson is a Republican running for the central district Transportation Commission seat.He is also a professional Elvis impersonator.
On Saturday, he became the object of affection of every woman at the festival as he handed out red scarves and posed for photos while singing and dancing among the crowd.Interestingly, he would wipe the sweat off of his chest with the scarves before handing them out.No word on whether he does that with his hand bills as well.
from his facebook page:He has been a 2 term Supervisor for Madison County, a 2 term Senator respresenting Madison, Leake, and Attala counties, and a Alderman for Madison the City. Tim Johnson is running for Transportation Commissioner in Mississippi's Central District. ... Tim has had the pleasure of entertaining as a professional Elvis impersonator for 20 years, and has become well known on a local and national level.
