The director of governmental affairs at the Mississippi Development Authority will be the new chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo.
Hunter Lipscomb, who once managed Palazzo campaigns and was Palazzo’s deputy chief of staff and district director for six years, will replace Casey Street, who’s leaving for the private sector.
“Hunter has been a part of my team since the very beginning and has served in a variety of roles both in Mississippi and in Washington,” Palazzo said in a news release. “His experience will be an asset to our state, and I am happy to welcome him back as my top advisor.”
Palazzo’s legislative director Patrick Large will be deputy chief of staff and will serve as interim chief while Lipscomb finishes a temporary military obligation with the Mississippi Air National Guard, Palazzo’s office said.
