Live updates: 2020 primary election results for Mississippi Coast voters

Mississippi voters went to the polls Tuesday to vote for candidates in the presidential and congressional primary races.

The front runners on the Republican ticket are President Donald Trump, Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith and Rep. Steven Palazzo.

The Democratic front runners are former vice president Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders running against Trump, as well as former Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. representative Mike Espy running against Hyde-Smith.

Running against Palazzo are three local Republicans: Biloxi Councilman Robert Deming III, Diamondhead businessman Carl Boyanton, and Samuel Hickman, a Picayune native who worked for Rep. Trent Kelly.
