CNN White House reporter Kaitlan Collins tweeted about Trump’s travel plans Monday afternoon.
But the Clarion-Ledger reports Gov. Phil Bryant does not have confirmation of attendance from the Trump administration. Bryant said he invited Trump to the event “several months ago.”
If Trump comes down to the Deep South, it’ll be three days before the Alabama Senate special election. Trump will not stop to campaign for GOP candidate Roy Moore, according to The Hill online.
On Monday, Trump tweeted his endorsement of Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women.
The president will attend an event in Pensacola on Friday, The Hill reported.
Trump came to Biloxi during his 2016 campaign against Hillary Clinton.
