Do you really need a toilet? This London condo for rent said toodaloo to the loo
Feeling nostalgic for your college dorm room days? There may be a perfect apartment for you.
A condo that’s available to rent in a trendy area of London for about $1,500 has dorm-room vibes — but not in the way you’re thinking.
It’s lacking … well, a toilet.
Sure, it has a shower, a kitchen and some living space, but to use the key essential, you’re gonna have to leave your apartment. (Oh, and the dining table is under the bunk bed.)
“As seen in the photos on this advert, the bedsit flat is of a good size,” the listing on Zoopla.co.uk says. “As it is on the ground floor of a Victorian building, the ceilings are very high and windows very large which creates a spacious airy interior. The bedsit flat is equipped with its own private kitchen and shower. Toilets are in the corridors and are shared with neighbours but there are plenty in the building and cleaned regularly by the housekeeping.”
Good news is the building sounds like they’re on the job with keeping the toilets sparkling despite multiple tenants lining up to use them.
A spokesperson for the management company that holds the listing told the Evening Standard that the building is pretty sizable for the area.
“It has high ceilings and massive windows so there is a good deal of light and space, and the tenants will have their own shower and kitchen,” the spokesperson told Evening Standard.
“There are six toilets on the ground floor and they are all going to be redone. It is somewhere between a studio and a house share — but you have no cleaning up of others’ mess.”
