May 17 (UPI) -- Four Navy pilots escaped without injuries Sunday after a pair of EA-18G Growler aircraft collided in mid-air during an airshow in Idaho, military officials said.

The incident happened at the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at the Mountain Home Air Force Base on Sunday.

The two aircraft crashed around 12:10 MDT during the show, Pacific Fleet Naval Air Forces spokesperson Cmdr. Amelia Umayam said in a statement issued to media outlets.

All four air crew members ejected safely and are being evaluated by medical personnel, she said, adding that the crash is under investigation.

Mountain Home Air Force Base officials said in an update the pilots were in stable condition. They had earlier announced the remainder of the air show was canceled.

Video from the scene, located about 55 miles southeast of Boise, Idaho, showed the two planes colliding in mid-air, followed by a burst of flame, and all four pilots ejecting with their parachutes deployed.

A fireball was ignited when the aircraft hit the ground.

Gunfighter Skies Air Show website said VAQ-129 "Vikings" EA-18G Growler Demo Team performing at the show is assigned to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington sate.
