UPDATE: The woman was identified as 25-year-old Mykaella Sharlman on Oct. 24, according to the Antioch Police Department. Two men were arrested and face charges of arson and mutilation in Sharlman’s death.

Police are using a woman’s jewelry to help identify her after she was found set on fire on a California trail.
The woman was found dead on the Mokelumne Trail at 5:36 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, in Antioch, the city police department said.
But because her burns were so severe, police said they need help identifying her body.
Authorities released photos of a ring that was found on her right ring finger. She was also wearing a metal necklace with a “K” pendant. Other letters may have been attached to the necklace, police said.
She also is predicted to be of African American descent, under 30 and about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, police said.
The woman is also missing three left lower molars and has a gap in the middle of her front teeth, police said. It appears she had gotten “extensive dental work done in the past.”
