‘The Mandalorian’ characters are set to appear at Disneyland. What to know
At long last, characters from “The Mandalorian” and its spin-off series, “The Book of Boba Fett,” will appear at Disneyland.
As of May 28, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, the lead characters from “The Book of Boba Fett” series on Disney+, have been introduced to Disneyland and are interacting with guests. You can find them within “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” inside the park.
“The duo is full of surprises as they navigate the galaxy’s underworld on the sands of Tatooine, and now we will be able to share an untold part of their story that takes them to the planet Batuu and Black Spire Outpost, a destination long familiar with bounty hunters and even more colorful characters,” Disney Parks said.
Photos shared May 28 by Walt Disney World News Today show Boba Fett, wearing his customary green chest plate and helmet, interacting with guests for the first time at Disneyland.
Disney also teased a couple more additions — Din Djarin, known as The Mandalorian, and his companion, Grogu, who many people refer to as Baby Yoda. The pair are the main characters in “The Mandalorian” series and will come to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland “at a later date.”
It will be the first time characters from the two Disney+ series will appear at Galaxy’s Edge for Disneyland guests to meet. They will join a slew of other “Star Wars” characters, including Chewbacca, R2-D2, Kylo Ren and Rey.
But don’t worry, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand will not interact with other “Star Wars” characters, with whom their story lines do not intersect. “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett” both take place a few years after “Return of the Jedi” and long before the events of “The Force Awakens.”
“While we as visitors may be able to experience different stories throughout ‘Star Wars’ history, the characters on Batuu can not,” Disney Parks said. “They will remain in their specific story and timeline and won’t intersect with other characters or stories that would not be appropriate for them.”
