What the ‘yabba-dabba-doo Flinstoneage is happening’ with house for sale in Wisconsin?
A home with a wild interior that would make “the ultimate Airbnb investment” has not only emerged on the real estate market in New Berlin, Wisconsin, for $1.2 million, but it’s also managed to bewilder a popular social media page.
While on the outside the six-bedroom, six-bathroom home seems normal enough, the inside could possibly double as an amusement park for the senses. Upon entering, the style of the atrium, with its very own indoor koi pond, jumps out in a unique way.
Right then, you know this is no ordinary home — you can probably count on one hand how many times you’ve entered a home and been met with an indoor pond.
The 5,254-square-foot home also comes with floor-to-ceiling windows, is energy-efficient and even has its own indoor pool that, judging by the photos, appears to be currently empty.
The home is certainly one-of-a-kind, and because of that, the comment section on the popular Facebook page Zillow Gone Wild has been blowing up.
And yes, there are a lot of “Flintstones” comparisons.
“What in the yabba-dabba-doo flinstoneage is happening here??? Yikes,” one person joked.
“I’m actually not mad at this. It’s not exactly my style,” another said. “But it’s pretty cool. It’d make a cool hotel, retreat, getaway place.”
“This is a bass pro shops,” someone compared.
“Not my personal jam but I admire the dedication to an aesthetic!” one person exclaimed. “Someone should buy it and convert it into a bed and breakfast — a fun space to visit and appreciate for a few days.”
“Looks like an elementary school on the outside,” another noticed. “But the bedrooms?!?!? First a couple normal. Bedrooms and then a descent into chaos.”
“If Rainforest Cafe and the Flintstones built a house together,” one person said.
“I love it,” another commented. “The Flintstones vibes and looks are so quirky that it is right up my ally. Tbh, this is much better than some of the sterile stark white places I have seen.”
“I love every bit of this house,” someone gushed. “Some of the decor would have to go, like the angel print. I do wonder why the little cave pool is drained. This is just my kind of weird.”
“Great for agile people and/or without kids,” one person noted. “Before my toddlers got bleeding holes from all over their bodies, an adult as clumsy as I won’t be alive more than 3 days living in here.”
“Half the house is a well-themed jungle cave,” another said. “The other house is traditional. Pick one. They don’t work well together.”
New Berlin is about 14 miles southwest of Milwaukee.
