A hiker wandered off the trail at Palo Duro Canyon State Park and found herself trapped on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a long drop, Texas officials said.

Luckily, she was still able to call 911 and be rescued, state park officials said in a Facebook post.

Her call for help came in around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28, the post said, and local first responders and Texas State Park Police descended on her location.

The sun was beginning to set as rescuers got to work, photos show. The hiker, stranded atop the Capitol Peak, is little more than a speck in the distance.
