3 killed, 6 injured in fire that broke out during sleepover, Baltimore officials say
Three people were killed and others were injured when a fire broke out during a sleepover in Baltimore, officials said.
The Baltimore City Fire Department posted on Twitter just before 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, that firefighters were on the scene of a “triple fatal fire” at a home in the 1500 block of North Patterson Park Avenue.
Six others, including five children, were taken to local hospitals, the fire department said. They were seriously injured but were in stable condition as of the morning of Nov. 22, fire officials told local outlet WBAL.
Fire officials told McClatchy News that there was reportedly a sleepover being held at the home when the fire started.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated, fire officials said. No other information had been released Nov. 22.
