McDonald’s and rapper Travis Scott are collaborating — and the results are delicious

McDonald's

For the first time in nearly 30 years, a celebrity will have his name on a McDonald’s menu.

From Sept. 8 through Oct. 4, McDonald’s will be featuring rapper Travis Scott’s favorite meal.

For $6, Travis’ meal includes a Quarter Pounder with cheese and bacon, a medium order of fries with barbecue sauce and a Sprite.

It’s been 28 years since since NBA legend Michael Jordan graced the Golden Arches with the McJordan special.

Unlike the McJordan special, which was only offered in Chicago, Scott’s meal will be available at McDonald’s restaurants across the United States.

While the McJordan was basically forgotten about in recent years, a jug of its barbecue sauce sold for almost $10,000 on eBay in 2012.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life,” Travis Scott said in a press release from McDonald’s. “We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have in store.”

Cactus Jack is Scott’s apparel brand, which he used to design customized apparel for McDonald’s crew members.

Scott and McDonald’s will be “exploring opportunities to support charitable organizations” during the limited time the meal is offered, the press release said.

In addition to being widely known in the rapping world, Scott is also known for his relationship with reality television star Kylie Jenner. The two share a daughter together.
