A free ticket turns into a $200,000 jackpot for lottery winner in South Mississippi
A Mississippi Lottery player cashed in their winning ticket Monday to claim the $200,000 jackpot in the Match 5 game.
The ticket came from Greer’s Market on Mississippi 614 in Hurley.
The player cashed in a Match 5 ticket from a previous drawing, according to Mississippi Lottery, and received one free ticket.
The numbers were randomly generated and that free ticket matched all five winning numbers for Saturday, Nov. 20. They were 1-8-13-18-21.
Mississippi Lottery regulations allow the identity of the winner to remain anonymous.
Unlike Powerball and Mega Million national draw games, Match 5 is a lottery game played only in Mississippi.
The jackpot for Mississippi Match 5 was reset to $50,000.
