Crashes in rain snarl traffic at I-10, Canal Road

Crashes that occurred in the Tuesday afternoon rain have kept Interstate 10 traffic near the Canal Road exit snarled about an hour.

The first of three crashes were reported at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday in an eastbound lane, sheriff’s Capt. John Marr said.

“Inclement weather was the cause,” Marr said.

“Only one injury was reported. Traffic is still heavy. But it will be cleared up soon,” he said about 3 p.m.
