The state Department of Transportation will begin work on a resurfacing project along Interstate 10 in Harrison County this week.
Work will include milling the roadway and resurfacing 8 miles of I-10 from Shorecrest Road to Galleria Parkway, commissioner Tom King said. Lane closures at night will be required in later phases of construction.
Motorists also can expect lane closures in Jackson County from exits 50 to 57 on Sunday through Thursday nights due to construction.
In addition, the Interstate 110 off-ramps at Bayview Avenue and Division Street will be closed one night this week while overhead signs are installed.
