A Picayune man did Friday night after losing control of his motorcycle on Mississippi 43 in Hancock County, authorities said.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Chase Elkins said David Samuel Lightell, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding hit an embankment on a driveway on 43 about 2 miles north of Mississippi 603.
The accident happened about 11 p.m. Friday, Elkins said. Lightell died at the scene, Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk determined.
"He died from blunt force trauma from the accident," Faulk said. "It looks like he lost control of the bike and went off the right shoulder before hitting the embankment."
