Kiln motorcyclist dies in collision with pickup truck

HANCOCK COUNTY -- A Kiln man died Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup on Mississippi 603, injuring the other driver and two passengers, a Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman said.

Joseph L. Busby, 57, was travelling just north of Shiyou Road at 9:17 p.m. when his motorcycle crossed the center line and collided with the left quarter-panel of a 1978 Ford F100, MHP Cpl. Benjamin Seibert said.

Lynn D. Perkins, 65, of Bay St. Louis, was driving the truck. Seibert identified the passengers as Miriam I. Perkins, 46, and Brooke I. Perkins, 13. All three were taken to Hancock Medical Center for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

Seibert said the accident remains under investigation.
