Two weeks of I-10 lane closures coming to South Mississippi. Here are the details
A stretch of Interstate 10 westbound will be reduced to a single lane in South Mississippi nightly, beginning Sunday, June 7, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will be from the Mississippi 609 interchange (Exit 50) in Jackson County to the Lamey Bridge Road interchange (Exit 46D) in Harrison County.
The closures are meant to allow for sealing operations on the roadway and will continue through Sunday, June 21. Closures will begin each night at 7 p.m. and continue until 5 a.m. the following day.
MDOT recommends drivers seek alternate routes and, if traveling on I-10, drivers should be on high alert for roadside workers.
