Multiple injuries, one taken from scene by helicopter after I-10 crash in South MS
A crash at 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 26 on Interstate 10 in Harrison County briefly closed all but one lane of I-10 Friday, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reports.
The single-vehicle crash involved a driver and five passengers, several of whom were injured. One person is being taken from the scene by helicopter.
MDOT’s live tracker shows that traffic returned to normal flow around 1:30 p.m.
All eastbound lanes were closed for more than a half hour, according to MDOT. The eastbound backup reached all the way to the Delisle-Pass Christian exit (Exit 20). The westbound backup extended beyond the County Farm Road exit (Exit 28).
