Update: Incident cleared, I-10 traffic again moving at full speed in South MS
3:50 p.m.: MDOT reports the incident has been cleared and traffic is again flowing in Jackson County.
ORIGINAL STORY
The Mississippi Department of Transportation is reporting that the right eastbound lane of Interstate 10 is closed in Jackson County.
At 3:03 p.m. MDOT reported a crash just past the Gautier-Vancleave Road exit (Exit 61). MDOT cameras show traffic at a near standstill.
MDOT says it could take up to an hour before normal traffic flow is restored and is advising drivers to avoid the area.
