Crash between pickup truck and 18-wheeler injures driver, blocks South MS highway
A crash between a pickup truck and semi-truck Friday morning closed both southbound lanes of Highway 63 in George County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
The crash near Old Highway 63 injured the pickup truck driver, according to Landon Orozco, a spokesperson for the Highway Patrol. It is unclear how severely the driver is hurt.
Authorities warned drivers to avoid the area. The Mississippi Department of Transportation estimated the closure could last until noon. The Highway Patrol said the lanes could be blocked “for an extended period of time.”
