A vehicle on fire Wednesday night near the Mississippi-Louisiana state line has blocked eastbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 10 in Hancock County, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Cal Robertson said a blown tire caused the fire, and nobody was injured.

The car caught fire around mile maker 8, in between the Stennis Space Center (2) and Bay St. Louis (13) exits.

Delays are expected until about 9:15 p.m., according to MDOT. Drivers in the area should expect congestion.
