All lanes of traffic blocked on Highway 49 and Creosote Road in Gulfport
All lanes of traffic are blocked on U.S 49 at Creosote Road in Gulfport after an accident Wednesday afternoon, Mississippi Department of Transportation said.
Traffic congestion should be expected on the highway for about an hour, MDOT said around 2:20 p.m.
The area is heavily trafficked and near Interstate 10. An MDOT traffic camera near the intersection is currently not working, according to the website.
Drivers should take an alternate route if possible.
